The Delicious Monster Wall Sconce is a sculptural celebration of nature, inspired by the dramatic split leaves of the Philodendron Monstera plants that thrive along the coastal regions of southern Africa. Conceived and handmade in the Durban, South Africa studio of Xavier Clarisse, each piece reflects a refined balance of organic form and contemporary craftsmanship. Crafted from quality, locally sourced, vegetable-tanned leather, the sconce begins as a flat hide before being meticulously shaped into layered, flowing fronds. A stainless steel skeleton supports and elevates the leather, transforming it into a striking three-dimensional wall sculpture that casts soft, ambient light and subtle shadows. Both art object and functional lighting, the Delicious Monster brings a sense of movement, texture, and natural elegance to any interior. All hard-wired lighting is UL-listed for dry locations.
