DEF CON 33 Pivot 2.0 Minimalist Bundle

DEF CON 33 Minimalist Bundle - Chassis, Tool, Skin Most bundles are an argument for buying more. This one is an argument for buying exactly enough. Three pieces: the chassis that holds your keys, the multi-tool that lives inside it, and a skin for the YubiKey you already carry. No faceplates, no reel, nothing to configure. It costs less than the chassis does on its own. What Is in the Bundle DEF CON 33 Pivot 2.0 (Aluminum) - CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, black anodized, laser-etched with the DEF CON 33 Access Everywhere circuit design. Holds 2 to 8 of your existing keys plus inserts at 0.7 oz. Includes a 2-year KeyportID subscription. DEF CON 33 MOCA 10-in-1 Multi-Tool - loads inside the chassis as an insert rather than hanging off it. Bottle opener, flathead driver, pry tool, scoring tool, package opener, hex bit driver, three wrenches, and a 2" ruler, cut from one piece of hardened 420 stainless steel. Non-bladed. DEF CON 33 YubiStyle Cover - a die-cut 3M vinyl wrap for the front and back of your YubiKey, produced by Yubico for Keyport. Tells your keys apart and takes the scuffs your key would otherwise take. Why the Minimalist Build The Pivot works as shipped. Faceplates change how it looks and add a smooth face against your phone, but nothing about the chassis needs them to function. If you already own plates you like, or you want the bare anodized chassis with the DEF CON 33 etch showing, this is the build that gets out of your way. What it does cover is the gap most people hit first: carrying a tool. The MOCA sits in the stack alongside your keys at 0.100" thick, which means the difference between owning a multi-tool and actually having one on you. How It Goes Together The Pivot 2.0 takes your existing house, car, office, and mailbox keys with no re-cutting and no proprietary blades. Keys and inserts stack on the pin and rotate out individually against a ratcheting mechanism that clicks every 90 degrees and holds the tension you set. The MOCA drops into that stack. The YubiStyle Cover peels on in seconds, no tools. Every Pivot 2.0 includes a 2-year KeyportID subscription. Each chassis carries a unique laser-engraved serial number, and if a finder reports it, KeyportID connects the two of you directly and anonymously. No Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no app, no phone battery. Frequently Asked Questions: DEF CON 33 Minimalist Bundle What exactly comes in the DEF CON 33 Minimalist Bundle? Three pieces: the DEF CON 33 Pivot 2.0 in aluminum, the DEF CON 33 MOCA 10-in-1 Multi-Tool, and a DEF CON 33 YubiStyle Cover. The Pivot also includes a 2-year KeyportID subscription. How is this different from the DEF CON 33 Everything Bundle? The Everything Bundle contains these same three pieces plus two faceplates, the Module Removal Tool, and the Jack Sidekick retractable reel. This bundle is the pared-down version for buyers who do not want faceplates or already own them. If you want the complete build, take the Everything Bundle. Does the bundle include faceplates? No. The chassis ships bare, with the DEF CON 33 etch visible on the anodized aluminum. Faceplates are sold separately and snap on later without tools if you change your mind. Does the bundle include a YubiKey? No. The YubiStyle Cover is a die-cut vinyl skin for a YubiKey you already own. It fits the YubiKey 5 Series, 5 NFC, 5 NFC FIPS, and Security Key NFC in both USB-A and USB-C. Do I need the Module Removal Tool with this bundle? Not for this configuration. The MRT exists to pop faceplates and stacked modules off the chassis, and this bundle includes neither. Add it when you add your first faceplate or module. Do I need to re-cut my keys? No. The Pivot 2.0 holds standard keys with a hole at the top, including most house, car, mailbox, and office keys, exactly as they are. Can I fly with this? The chassis, keys, and MOCA are all non-bladed and travel in a carry-on routinely. Final determination always rests with the TSA agent at the checkpoint. Will the DEF CON 33 pieces be restocked? No. Each DEF CON edition is produced in a limited run for that year's conference and is not reordered or reissued once it sells out. Can I add modules to this later? Yes. The Pivot 2.0 is the same chassis regardless of which bundle it arrives in. Pocket Flare 2.0, NEBA, WeeLINK, and MOCA2 all mount to the outer faces, and inserts like a USB-C flash drive or a pen load into the stack. DEF CON 33 inventory. Once it is gone, it is not reproduced. 2-year limited warranty on the Pivot 2.0. 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
