Large clusters of golf ball sized fruit characterize this spectacular wildlife tree. It’s self-fertile, but an increased production of fruit is likely with the presence of another pear cultivar nearby. It can be combined with our other earlier-fruiting selections to have a long season of fruit availability. As such, this is a very special selection that will be of great interest for your wildlife orchards. Deer Live Oak – 2x The Dr. Deer Live Oak is an early producing live oak selection that begins consistently producing acorn crops after only 3-4 yrs. Japanese Persimmon – 3x The Japanese Persimmon is a graceful tree that adds a steady, late-season pull to your land with its bright orange fruit lingering into fall and beyond. Reaching 20-30’ with a rounded, spreading crown, the Japanese Persimmon thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, handling heat, mild drought once established, and a range of soil conditions from loamy to sandy. These trees are self-fertile, producing reliably on their own, though nearby pollinators will improve production. Wildtree Mexican Oak – 2x The Wildtree Mexican Oak is an exciting wildlife attracting shade tree that will thrive in the southern United States while producing acorn crops early and often. It is drought, heat, and cold tolerant. It is a fast-growing, partially deciduous member of the red oak family that consistently produces masses of smallish acorns year after year, beginning 3-4 yrs after planting. Bartlett Pear – 2x The Bartlett Pear predictably pulls wildlife to your land with its reliable mid-season fruit drop. Plant it solo or layer it with later bearers like the Kieffer for a spread that carries attraction from summer through fall.In USDA zones 5-9, the Bartlett Pear is a steady, no-drama choice for landowners enriching their deer habitat.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
