It works by removing buildup and residue from previous treatments. It also eliminates product residue. It then opens up the cuticle so that hair receives treatment more effectively. Use as a clarifying shampoo every 1 to 2 weeks, or every 4 washes. Recommended frequency of use depends on level of buildup, scalp oiliness, and hard water deposits. Regular use will increase the number of days you can go between washes if you have an oily scalp. Revives volume and bounce to hair weighed down by oil, products, and hard water minerals.
