Decoy's Install Blade WL turns any soft plastic into a bladed bait. A slim willow leaf blade hangs off a swivel, and that swivel is joined to a corkscrew keeper you thread into the worm wherever you want the flash — stab the center pin in, wind the coil down, and a plain worm now throws vibration and glint it didn't have five seconds ago. The keeper is the clever part. The center pin goes in first so the entry point can't wander and the blade ends up sitting straight, then the phosphor bronze coil screws into the plastic and locks. Phosphor bronze is soft enough to tune — stretch the coil out, squeeze it down or cut it shorter to match the diameter of whatever you're threading it into. Where the keeper meets the swivel, Decoy sleeves the joint with a silicone tube they call the iGuard. It gives you something to hold while you're setting the blade and keeps the blade where you put it instead of folding back on itself. Pull the iGuard off and the blade swings through a wider arc — just know the keeper and swivel separate more easily without it. Where it goes Decoy shows it in the tail of a Neko rig, the back of a straight worm on a jig head, and the tail of a ribbed worm, but the whole point is that it goes wherever you decide. The willow leaf profile is deliberately slim, so it spins up quickly with light pull resistance rather than lifting the rig the way a wide blade does — you can add it to a finesse presentation without changing how the bait swims. The silver finish is baitfish-plain and Decoy rates it for salt as well as fresh, which puts it on the same worms and swimbaits that get fished around here on a Switch Bomb swing head for spotties, sand bass and calico. Key features Screw-in keeper installs the blade anywhere on a soft plastic — no rerigging, no hardware through the hook. Center pin sets the entry point so the blade hangs straight. Phosphor bronze coil can be stretched, compressed or cut to fit the bait. iGuard silicone sleeve steadies the blade and makes it easier to handle; removable for more swing. Slim willow leaf blade — fast to spin up, light pull resistance. Baitfish silver, rated by Decoy for fresh and salt water. Specifications: Silver willow leaf blade, 2 per pack. Screw-in phosphor bronze keeper — size M on the #3, size L on the #3.5 — with an iGuard silicone sleeve at the swivel. Decoy model BL-21S, made in Japan by Katsuichi. Note: Decoy cautions that some soft-plastic formulations are harder to thread than others, and a very soft or slick bait can let the keeper work loose.
