David Gilmour - December 2015 Relix Issue

The December 2015 Relix issue features our David Gilmour cover story and much more! David Gilmour is the keeper of Pink Floyd’s flame. While Roger Waters was a creative force in his own right, Gilmour crafted many of the group’s iconic guitar lines and sang lead on numerous signature songs, helping to provide an identity for the oft-faceless band best known for their grand concepts and iconic instrumental sections. Last year, Gilmour shocked most everyone in the music industry when he released a final Pink Floyd album 20 years after that band quietly parted ways. Now, he’s returned with his first solo album in almost a decade, Rattle That Lock. Alan Paul spoke with the Pink Floyd leader, as he prepared for his first tour in years, on his enduring legacy, lost bandmates and why his sound remains just as relevant decades after The Final Cut. This issue also contains additional articles and interviews with Dead & Company, John Fogerty, The Zombies, Kurt Vile, Grace Potter, Alex G, Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings, Widespread Panic, Alex Bleeker, Tom Hamilton, Rediscovering the lost Brent Mydland album,Drive-By Truckers, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Moon Taxi’s Trevor Terndrup, JC Barber, Love Canon, The National, Alberta Cross, Turkuaz, Glen Hansard and more!
