Decaf Organic One Black Espresso

Centri Coffee's Decaf Organic One Black proves that decaffeinated doesn't mean diluted. This USDA Organic espresso maintains a rich, chocolate-forward profile through the gentle Swiss Water Process—a chemical-free decaffeination method that preserves the coffee's inherent character while removing 99.9% of the caffeine. Roasted to a versatile medium-dark, it delivers the full-bodied satisfaction of a traditional espresso blend without the buzz, making it an ideal choice for afternoon cappuccinos or evening espresso. Tasting NotesThe cup opens with prominent dark chocolate and sweet caramel, reminiscent of a well-made brownie. Medium-full body coats the palate with a creamy texture, while low acidity keeps the profile smooth and approachable. The finish lingers with cocoa and subtle sweetness—no papery or muted notes often associated with lesser decafs. This is a coffee that tastes complete, not compromised. Brew MethodsOne Black excels as a traditional espresso, pulling rich shots with thick crema and balanced sweetness that works beautifully in milk drinks. The chocolate notes shine through steamed milk in lattes and cappuccinos. It's equally impressive as a filter coffee—try it in a Chemex or automatic drip brewer for a chocolate-forward morning cup that won't interfere with sleep. French press enthusiasts will appreciate the full body and low acidity. About Swiss Water ProcessUnlike chemical decaffeination methods, the Swiss Water Process uses only water and coffee extract to remove caffeine. Green beans soak in Green Coffee Extract (GCE)—a solution saturated with coffee solubles—which draws out caffeine while leaving flavor compounds intact. The result is clean, chemical-free decaf that tastes remarkably close to its caffeinated counterpart.
