Decaf Asterisk

Decaf Asterisk from Olympia Coffee Roasting Company isn't a compromise—it's a declaration. Sourced from Colombia's San Sebastian Project and processed by La Serrania using naturally derived ethyl acetate, this coffee proves that removing caffeine doesn't mean sacrificing complexity. Olympia works directly with producers in one of Colombia's most ambitious quality initiatives, selecting beans specifically for their decaf program. The result is a coffee that stands proudly alongside any origin offering in their lineup. Tasting NotesExpect a full, round body with caramelized sugar sweetness and notes of dark chocolate and toasted almond. The acidity is gentle and balanced—never flat—with a clean, lingering finish that invites another sip. This is decaf that tastes like coffee, with depth and clarity that holds up whether you're brewing at 6 a.m. or 9 p.m. The ethyl acetate process preserves the bean's inherent character, allowing the terroir of San Sebastian to shine through without the chemical taste associated with inferior decaf methods. Brew MethodsDecaf Asterisk shines across all brew methods. It pulls beautifully as espresso—sweet, creamy, and forgiving on timing—making it ideal for evening cappuccinos or cortados. In pour over (V60, Chemex), it reveals its more delicate layers: stone fruit undertones and a tea-like clarity in the finish. French press amplifies the body and chocolate notes, while drip machines deliver consistent, crowd-pleasing cups. This is a workhorse decaf that adapts to your routine without demanding precision. About the RoasterOlympia Coffee Roasting Company has built one of the specialty industry's most respected decaf programs, treating caffeine-free coffees with the same rigor and care as their limited microlots.
