Debridement

Dr. Jack Hastings had what he considered a satisfying life as a dedicated critical care physician. He had no outlandish dreams only wanting the personal satisfaction of a life well lived and the knowledge that he had made a difference in the lives of his patients. But fate can have other ideas. In Jack's case that came in the form of a groundless malpractice suit. He knew all too well what such a suit could do-he'd seen it happen far too often to his fellow physicians. To make matters worse the attorney handling the suit was the worst of his kind "a scumbag who made spoiled milk smell like a fresh spring day." Looking at the impending destruction of his life Dr. Hastings formulates a plan-one that takes such exquisite shape in his mind that he can do nothing else but carry it out. He will rid himself and the medical community of the problem lawyer. The plan goes smoothly but Jack might have done things differently if only he had known what would come next.   Sean Dow is a practicing pulmonary and critical care specialist enjoying his new life in Great Falls MT. He was born in Iowa City Iowa and raised in Topeka Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine where he also did his internal medicine internship and residency. He completed his sub-specialty training in Tucson Arizona at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. After finishing his fellowship Dr. Dow began a solo practice in the high desert community of Klamath Falls Oregon-an understated gem of the world. The people of that fine Northwestern community hold a dear spot in his heart. When not practicing or writing Dr. Dow can be found in the kitchen or on a mountain stream with his favorite fly rod two interests that often show up in his novels. Please visit Dr. Dow's website Seandow.com to read more about his novels or to reach him through e-mail Facebook or Twitter and share comments or stories of the Northwest.   "Captures your interest from page one and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat throughout. Suspense and humor keep it very interesting. Could not put it down. Great read."-L. Heath "...recommended by a friend. I was pleasantly surprised. Great pacing and a very humorous tongue-in-cheek main character kept me hooked from start to finish. The characters are very gritty and believable and the action is intense. Great novel that I would recommend..."-C. Hulet "Kept me up all night even though I had a busy day of surgery ahead."-R. Wiencek MD "...a cathartic comedy of a gun toting Pulmonologist turned into a wise-cracking assassin."-M. McCullough DPM
