Debora Renae Dahlia

Debora Renae produces striking 5-inch red blooms with the elegant waterlily form that dahlia enthusiasts prize for arrangements and garden display. This vigorous variety reaches 5 feet at maturity, making it an excellent choice for mid-to-back border placement. The waterlily petal structure creates a refined, layered appearance that holds up well in cut arrangements. Plant tubers in spring after frost danger passes for reliable summer-through-fall flowering. Ideal for growers seeking a tall, prolific red dahlia with classic form and excellent vase life. How To Plant Dahlias To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on. As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
