Dead Reckoning Lip Balm | Fragrance Free

Pure. Precise. Uncompromising. Dead reckoning is the oldest form of navigation there is. No landmarks. No stars. No external reference points. You find your position by knowing your vessel, your speed, your heading, and trusting the calculation completely. Nothing borrowed. Nothing added. This balm was named for that discipline. No essential oils. No fragrance. No variables. Just the core formula — four ingredients, stripped to their most essential architecture — doing exactly what a lip balm should. For the skin that notices everything, Dead Reckoning is the most precise course we know how to plot. Why it earns its place Built around function, not fragrance. Most lip balms are built around scent. This one isn't. No essential oils, no botanical perfume — just four clean ingredients and nothing else. Grass-fed tallow. A rich, skin-compatible fat that conditions and protects lips against wind, cold, and salt air. For sensitive skin, that simplicity is the whole point. Summer beeswax seals in the oils beneath it and protects without feeling heavy. Organic castor and jojoba oils condition and soften — a balm that feels like silk, not grease. Nothing extra. Nothing hidden. No fragrance. No synthetics. No ingredients you can't pronounce. If you prefer a fragrance-free formula, this is built for exactly that. Glass, not plastic. Frosted glass jar only. No microplastics, no leaching — nothing your lips didn't ask for. Two variants, one formula. Clear for the minimalists. Rose-tinted with a whisper of organic beetroot powder for everyone else. Same fragrance-free formula. Your call on color. Built for the skin that notices everything Some skin doesn't tolerate variables. It reacts to fragrance. It reacts to essential oils — even the gentle ones, even in concentrations too small to smell. Dead Reckoning removes the variables. What remains is the core formula: grass-fed tallow, organic castor oil, organic jojoba oil, summer beeswax. That's it. The formula didn't come from a lab. It came from two decades of searching for something that actually worked, and finally making it from scratch — the way everything worth having gets made. Grass-fed tallow because it's kind to skin. Castor oil because it conditions deeply. Jojoba because it balances. Summer beeswax because it protects without suffocating. A note on the jar There's a reason Dead Reckoning comes in frosted glass and not a twist-up tube. A jar keeps the formula clean and preserves everything inside it — used with clean fingers, a little goes a very long way. That's not an accident. That's discipline. And the other thing — the part that has nothing to do with sensitivity and everything to do with how it feels. Dead Reckoning goes on like silk. Not greasy, not heavy, not the drugstore shine that vanishes in twenty minutes. The tallow and jojoba leave lips soft and smooth and comfortable. The person who reacts to everything reaches for it because it's simple. The person who just prefers a clean, fragrance-free formula reaches for it because it feels better than anything else they've tried. Same jar. Different reasons. Both right. Two variants. Clear — the formula, nothing added. Rose-tinted — the same formula with a whisper of organic beetroot. Your call on color. Handcrafted in small batches in South Carolina. Co-founded by Dolton, who is blind, and family-run. Every label Brailled by hand.
