Days Dormitory

In Days Dormitory - Andrius Miezis arranges a quiet symphony of form and color. Rows of mushrooms, each distinct in shape and hue, inhabit their own geometric compartments, forming a surreal taxonomy of time. Their vivid caps - crimson, violet, gold, and blue - emerge from muted gray boxes, as if each day were given its own private chamber for contemplation. The composition suggests both order and strangeness - the structured repetition evokes human attempts to categorize life, while the organic irregularity of the mushrooms resists confinement. Miezis plays with perception, balancing symmetry with spontaneity, creating a visual metaphor for the rhythm of passing days - each contained, yet unpredictably alive. Days Dormitory becomes a meditation on routine and renewal - how even in neatly divided spaces, individuality persists. Miezis transforms the mundane into something poetic, where the days, like mushrooms, grow quietly in their corners, tender and strange, awaiting their turn in the light.
