Dauminator

Description The Dauminator is one of our most popular high performance Stand Up models. This board does everything incredibly well and paddles so fast it feels like a race board. The Dauminator is great for flat water paddling in oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, and harbors. The Dauminator is loved by everyone who rides it. The Dauminator model has a wider nose than our other high-performance stand-up paddle boards. This allows you to hang five and ten while surfing. It also adds to the stability of the board. Although originally designed to be surfed, the Dauminator is one of the fastest paddling boards around. Customers call and write us all the time to tell us how they love this board! For you surfers, the Dauminator allows you to nose ride, carve turns and easily paddle very long distances. The Dauminator has great drive off the bottom, fast trim speed, excellent nose riding, and a loose feel. This board feels as if your are milking every ounce of energy from the wave. It likes to be ridden on waves ranging from ankle-high to chest-high. It can be ridden in larger than head-high waves by the more experienced surfer. Team Players Top team riders who regularly ride this board include Chuck Glynn, Rick Ray, Travis Stassart, Dave Daum, Scott Rockwell, Scott Bass, Dave Daum, Ken Bingham, Rich Hill, Sverre Strom, Dennis Williams, Ross Cohen, John, Scarpaci, Richard Davidson, Charlie Miller, and many many others. Skill-Level The Dauminator Model is designed for all skill levels; from beginner thru expert. The bottom shape has a vee-bottom running the full length of the board. It has a concave nose and double barrel concaves in the rear 1/3rd of the bottom. The vee helps the board to resist yaw. The benefit is you can paddle almost exclusively on one side of the board without switching hands with the paddle. The vee also allows you to rock the board over on one side or the other which makes turning a breeze. The double concaves accelerate the flow of water under the board maintaining a consistent glide through the water. The concaves also create the feeling of "squirt" when the board is ridden on waves. Early on we recognized the need to market a high value no compromise board. King's is committed to producing only the finest quality stand-up paddleboards in the world. Our boards are proudly produced in San Diego, California and shipped around the world. The Board Design The deck has a flat standing area for a wide comfortable stance while paddling. The bottom has a full-length vee bottom that is deepest in the nose and tail with a deep nose concave that breaks into dual concaves running off the end of the tail. This gives you great glide, stability, high paddling speeds, fantastic nose riding, and unbelievably fast turning on waves. The rails are very thin for penetrating the face of a wave. This allows you to carve waves on the rails. Construction The Dauminator boards are built right here in the USA. We use ultra-light Expanded Poly Styrene (EPS) foam core material wrapped in premium grade fiberglass and epoxy resin. Optionally, you can order the Salsa boards with unidirectional carbon strips around the rails or full vacuum bagged carbon fiber. The Dauminator boards are light weight with performance being the first priority. The boards come standard with a 10" center box and two side boxes.
