Dark Vanilla checks all of the winter weather boxes. The vanilla is lusciously warm and resinous, adding in just a touch of creamy sweetness. The black leather is worn yet supple with a dark, intense oud hiding in the background, waiting to reveal itself in the drydown. The most intriguing part, the myriad of spices that linger throughout. Pink peppercorn, saffron, cumin, cardamom, and coriander lay on top of patchouli oil, making this cold weather fragrance a top pick for us.     Notes include pink pepper, saffron, cumin, cardamom, lemon, coriander, sandalwood, black leather, oud, patchouli, vanilla, amber, and musk.     Montale is the creation of Pierre Montale, who worked as an official perfumer for the Saudi royal family before returning to Paris to introduce Western perfume lovers to the rich world of Middle Eastern perfumery ingredients.
