Dark Tibet Tea

This delicious, dark tea comes to us from YaAn, Sichuan, at a garden located 3,000 feet above sea level. Dark Tibet tea has a long and cherished history, having been first recorded as a beverage consumed in 1066. It was even brought as a tribute during the Tang Dynasty, when Princess Wencheng was married. It has a storied history with the Tea-Horse Road. This is a post-oxidation dark tea, like a Pu-Erh from neighboring Yunnan. There is a bit of fermentation that happens after the tea is made. Adding complex, earthy flavors.
