Our artisan soaps are handcrafted using the traditional cold process method with nourishing oils, sodium hydroxide (lye), and water. During the soap-making process, sodium hydroxide reacts with the oils in a process called saponification, creating true soap and naturally occurring glycerin. Once fully cured for 4–6 weeks, no sodium hydroxide remains in the finished bar when the recipe has been properly formulated. Cold process soap is loved for its rich lather, long-lasting bars, naturally retained glycerin, and the ability to showcase high-quality ingredients.
