Dark Horse Sample

The scent The artist The inspiration This is a 2 ml spray sample. Find the full bottle here.  A "dark horse" is defined as a little-known thing that suddenly, unexpectedly, emerges to prominence, and we're putting our bets on exactly that outcome with Dark Horse from Dame Perfumery Scottsdale. The first hint that this perfume might be something special is on the bottle, which features custom artwork by V. Dave Dame, the perfumer's artist father. And at first spray, you know this is a runaway winner. Dark Horse is a warm, woody oriental in a perfect swirl of citrus, spice, vanilla, and woods. While Dame's beloved Black Flower Mexican Vanilla makes you want to cozy up in a blanket and smile to yourself, Dark Horse makes you want to run outside and shout thanks to the warm sun. Notes include bergamot, lemon, cinnamon, jasmine, carnation, rose, clove, guaiac wood, vetiver, vanilla, and musk. Dame Perfumery Scottsdale is the creation of Jeffrey Dame, a veteran of the fragrance industry. He collaborates on the project with his son, Cullen, a budding scent aficionado and artist, with whom he has built a new line of modern American perfumes. The new Dame Perfumery Scottsdale, opening soon, will be a friendly, social place to explore perfume in Scottsdale, Arizona. Find out more about Dame Perfumery Scottsdale in our BLOG. Dark Horse was inspired by Dame's love for the sunny, happy side of life and the natural beauty of the desert landscape of Arizona.
