The leaves are hand-plucked from the highest altitude of the tea garden during the first few weeks of spring (first pick). When the tea bushes are fresh out of hibernation from a prolonged winter, the most tender young leaves and buds are plucked. After plucking, the leaves are dried naturally for a prolonged period, minimally oxidized, and delicately rolled and dried.
