Dare the Lightning

Original Painting Size: 32"h x 24"w x 2"d Medium: acrylic and texture medium on wood Original tree painting with neutral colors and metallic accents.  I found this tree while hunting for leafless trees with my husband in Creve Coeur Park last spring. We were trying to hurry because some clouds were rolling in and the sun was beginning to set. We spotted this amazing sycamore tree standing apart from the other trees and I took a few shots. As we walked past it, the sun hit the twisting white branches just right and it reminded me of lightning. I thought how ironic it was that this towering tree could take the form of something that could be considered its worst enemy.
