Dapple Bench

The Ferm Living Dapple Bench brings the collection's flowing curves into a versatile seating format that works beautifully in dining spaces, entryways, or anywhere you need flexible seating options. The sculptural silhouette maintains that same organic elegance as the other Dapple pieces while offering the practical benefits of bench seating - it can accommodate more people when needed and tucks neatly under tables when not in use. What's appealing about the proportions is how the bench manages to feel substantial and well-designed without taking up excessive visual or physical space in a room. The seat height and depth work well for both dining and casual seating, providing comfortable support whether you're enjoying a meal or just perching briefly while putting on shoes or setting down bags. The curved edges create this inviting quality that makes the bench feel approachable rather than formal, and the construction holds up beautifully to the varied ways benches get used in real life - from extra dinner seating to makeshift surfaces for folding laundry or organizing items. The materials develop that same beautiful patina over time that characterizes the entire collection, aging gracefully rather than showing wear in an unattractive way. Ferm Living designs with this intuitive understanding that benches serve multiple roles in modern homes, often becoming the most versatile pieces in a furniture collection. Their Copenhagen team approaches each piece with careful consideration of how it will actually be used day-to-day, not just how it looks in a styled photograph. The brand has built its reputation on creating furniture that adapts to how people live rather than requiring them to adapt their habits, and this bench exemplifies that philosophy perfectly - it's designed to be useful, beautiful, and effortlessly integrated into the rhythms of daily life.
