Daou Bodyguard Red Blend

From the prestigious Daou Mountain vineyards in Paso Robles, the Bodyguard Red Blend is a masterclass in winemaking, showcasing the meticulous blending of varietals to create a wine of extraordinary depth and character. Each element of this blend contributes to a harmonious complexity that captivates the senses, making it a standout offering in the Daou portfolio. The wine presents with a deep ruby color, hinting at the richness and complexity that lies within. The nose is an enchanting mix of dark aromas—cocoa, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, and sweet cherry pipe tobacco intertwined with subtle notes of truffle, toffee, mocha, and menthol. On the palate, vibrant berry flavors like cherry, cranberry, strawberry, and blueberry are balanced with accents of black raspberry and tamarind. Layers of dusty leather, pencil shavings, cigar box, and crushed herbs create an intricate, well-rounded flavor profile. The finish is elegant, with polished tannins and a focused energy that ensures the wine’s presence lingers. Perfectly paired with hearty dishes like grilled steaks, lamb chops, or mushroom risotto, this red blend will elevate any dining experience.
