Danner Men's Tachyon 8" Duty Boot -Black- 50124

A Boot First. A Sneaker Second.Danner didn't get its start building athletic shoes — it makes boots. So when the team set out to build a lightweight trainer, they used over 90 years of bootmaking experience to create a boot that acts like a shoe, not a shoe that acts like a boot. Now available in a polishable finish for hot weather, without sacrificing the Tachyon's signature lightweight feel. Key Features of the Danner Tachyon 8" Polishable Toe 50124 Polishable Toe: The polishable synthetic leather toe area meets uniform requirements for departments that call for a polished, professional finish. Unlined Leather Upper: Lighter weight with cool comfort in warmer temperatures — the unlined leather molds to your foot over time. Speed Lace System: Special hardware lets you tighten from toe to top with one swift tug for a secure, tight fit. Open-Cell Polyurethane Footbed: Superior shock absorption with an additional layer of open-cell construction for improved air circulation. EVA Midsole: Lightweight cushioning without added bulk. Danner Tachyon Outsole: 100% rubber for superior abrasion resistance, with pentagonal lugs for maximum surface contact. DLE-01 Last: An anatomical last with superior heel and forefoot capture, extra room in the toe box, and a more natural shape that lets the foot react freely when bearing a heavy load or changing direction laterally in high-intensity environments. Built for Hot-Weather DutyThis unlined, non-waterproof build prioritizes breathability and a molded, personalized fit — a good match for hot-climate training and duty use where staying cool matters more than weather protection.
