Daniel Josier Tangy Caper Eau de Parfum 100 ml

A JUICY MISCHIEF. THE EVOLUTION OF A LEGEND. Summer. The kind that smells of fresh herbs and citrus and warm skin and the particular green mischief of a season that refuses to take anything too seriously. Tangy Caper — literally translated as "juicy mischief" — is Daniel Josier's most playful, most vibrant, and most joyful creation. Born from the disappearance of his beloved Interdit Absente in 2021, Tangy Caper is not a replacement but an evolution: greener, more modern, more potent, and more alive than its legendary predecessor. The spirit of absinthe and summer mischief, reimagined for a new decade. If Interdit Absente was the mysterious green fairy, Tangy Caper is what happens when she decides to have fun. THE SCENT Top Notes — Mint · Grapefruit · Southernwood · Red Bell Pepper The opening is a shock of green energy — vivid, fresh, and completely original. Mint arrives with a cool, slightly electric freshness that immediately energizes and uplifts. Grapefruit adds a bright, sparkling tartness alongside it — citrusy, slightly bitter, and alive. Southernwood — abrótano, a rare aromatic herb from the artemisia family, with a slightly camphoraceous, green-herbal quality reminiscent of absinthe — introduces the fragrance's most distinctive note from the very first spray. Red bell pepper adds an unexpected, slightly vegetal, slightly sweet-spicy warmth that gives the opening its most surprising and memorable dimension. Fresh, bold, and completely unlike anything in mainstream perfumery. Heart Notes — Artemisia · Pink Pepper · Orange · Fennel The heart deepens into a complex, aromatic garden in full summer bloom. Artemisia — wormwood — continues the green, slightly bitter herbal narrative begun in the opening, adding a cool, camphoraceous depth that keeps the fragrance alive and evolving. Pink pepper adds a bright, slightly fruity spice. Orange brings a warm, slightly sweet citrus roundness that softens the herbal character without taming it. Fennel introduces a distinctive anise-like warmth — slightly sweet, slightly medicinal — the note that most directly evokes the spirit of absinthe and the ghost of Interdit Absente. A heart that is aromatic, complex, and deeply original. Base Notes — Citrus Sorbet · Wood Accord · Sandalwood · Musk The dry-down is bright, clean, and skin-close — the perfect end to a summer day. A citrus sorbet accord keeps the base cool and sparkling — like a frozen dessert on a hot afternoon, refreshing and unexpected. A wood accord adds a subtle structure and depth. Sandalwood brings a creamy, smooth warmth that keeps the base from feeling light or fleeting. Musk leaves a clean, airy trail that wears close to the skin for hours — the lingering memory of a day that was exactly as joyful as it was supposed to be.
