The Trixie Rug features a herringbone background as a nod to the high contrast, graphic pattern often seen in a true Hollywood Regency design, but softened with magnolias. Like most people in Hollywood the Magnolia is not a native plant but does thrive and is a symbol of stability. David and Trixie wanted a Hollywood Regency inspired home with a modern flair. This style often used high contrast, black and white, stone or tile floors at a grand scale.
