NOIRE X NOIRE X updates Dan Clark Audio's iconic AEON 2 NOIRE by integrating DCA’s state-of-the-art Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System (AMTS) with an improved driver, all carefully wrapped in a gorgeous ergonomically-enhanced design. NOIRE X’s dramatic black-on-black aesthetic, improved ear pads, self-adjusting headband, and Gorilla Glass 3 cups sumptuously hint at the numerous exciting upgrades within, all designed to maximize your listening pleasure! With NOIRE X, DCA sets a new standard in midrange headphone performance, comfort, and value! Better Technology, Better Sound The NOIRE X features an upgraded, rigid AEON driver offering improved consistency, reduced distortion, and smoother frequency response. Enhanced V-Planar knurling and optimized manufacturing ensure top-tier detail and low distortion. Integrated with Dan Clark's state-of-the-art Audio Precision 555B, B&K 5128 measurement system, AMTS, and redesigned ear pads, the NOIRE X delivers a refined, unforgettable listening experience. Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System The NOIRE X now includes DCA’s acclaimed AMTS tuning system, previously exclusive to flagship models. AMTS utilizes advanced metamaterial design to refine frequency response and eliminate high-frequency standing waves, which often cause harsh, synthetic treble. The result is a balanced, detailed, and fatigue-free treble that enhances the overall listening experience. Sound Experience Dan Clark’s NOIRE X delivers top-tier sonic performance without compromise, offering flagship-level technology, comfort, and sound quality at a more accessible price. With an expansive soundstage, punchy bass, smooth mids, vibrant highs, and rich detail, it provides an engaging and fatigue-free listening experience across all genres, establishing itself as an exceptional value in audiophile headphones. Additional Features Self-Tensioned Headband DCA's self-tensioning headband reduces listening fatigue by distributing pressure evenly across your head for a balanced, barely there fit. The uniform pressure distribution helps prevent hot-spots and pressure-points, making NOIRE X ideal for long hours of immersive listening, free from adjustments or strain. Gorilla Glass NOIRE X is a stunning yet understated headphone, from the stitched headband to the all new Gorilla Glass 3 finish on the cups. Gorilla Glass 3 is a thin sheet of alkali-aluminosilicate that makes the glass stiffer and more scratch and break resistant than conventional glass formulations. Luxurious Comfort NOIRE X features redesigned ear pads with Alcantara synthetic suede for superior comfort, reducing heat and moisture buildup during extended sessions. The pads minimize foam wear ("foam rolling") for improved durability and consistency, and they’re fully compatible with AEON 2 NOIRE, AEON RT, and AEON 2. Versatile Cable Options NOIRE X includes a range of DCA 'Dummer' cable options—6.3mm/3.5mm, 4-pin XLR, and 4.4mm—at the base price, with optional upgrades to premium VIVO cables for greater flexibility. This ensures seamless and versatile pairing with any amplifier, maximizing your audio rig without the need for additional third-party cables.
