Dammar & Agarwood Incense (Malaysia)

This exquisite incense blend combines the grounding richness of Malaysian agarwood with the fresh, slightly spicy uplift of dammar resin. Harmoniously balanced, the scent offers a soft yet complex experience—both sweetly balsamic and deeply meditative. Ideal for practitioners looking to balance energy, especially after intense mental or spiritual activity, this incense is a potent ally for calming the winds (rlung) and creating spaciousness of mind. Packaged in an elegant wooden tube, these sticks are crafted for those who seek refined quality in daily or retreat practice. Symbolism & Meaning Agarwood (Tib. agaru) is praised across cultures for its sacred qualities. In Buddhist, Hindu, and Islamic traditions, it is used to cleanse the mind and space, to honor the divine, and to settle emotional turbulence. In Tibetan medicine, agarwood is known for its ability to pacify "lhung" (rlung) disorders—imbalances related to the wind element and nervous system. Dammar, a tree resin from India and Southeast Asia, is associated with clarity, purification, and lightness. Together, these ingredients create a fragrance that grounds the body and uplifts the mind, making it especially suitable for practitioners managing stress, anxiety, or sok-lhung from intensive meditation. (See THIS article to learn more about "sok lhung" problems among practitioners).
