Damascus Tracker Knife Multi Edge Fixed Blade Sawback Outdoor Tool

The tracker knife is one of the most distinctive survival blades ever designed, built around the idea that a single knife should do the work of many tools. Its multi-section blade traces back to wilderness and tracking traditions, where outdoorsmen needed one tool to chop, skin, carve, and notch in the field. Popularized by survival instructor Tom Brown Jr. and made famous on screen, the tracker became the benchmark for a true do-it-all bush blade. From those survivalist roots, the tracker knife grew into a favorite among bushcrafters, hunters, and collectors who value function over flash. Its forward chopping edge, curved skinning belly, and saw-back spine reflect generations of hard-earned field wisdom packed into one form. This handmade tracker carries that heritage forward built to be used, not just admired. Introduction This handmade Tracker Knife is a 9-inch full-tang survival blade built for serious outdoor work. The forged carbon steel blade combines a forward chopping section, a curved belly for skinning and slicing, and a saw-back spine for notching and rough cuts — three tools in one. The warm wooden handle gives it a classic, rugged feel and a secure grip in the field. It belongs to our tracker knives collection, where each blade is hand-ground and finished so every section performs its job. Whether you're processing game, building camp tools, or clearing trail, this tracker handles tasks that would normally take two or three separate blades. It's a dependable, hardworking companion for any outdoor adventure. Blade The 9-inch overall knife is built around a forged carbon steel blade, valued for its toughness, easy field sharpening, and aggressive cutting bite. Its tracker geometry divides the edge into purpose-built sections: a robust forward edge for chopping and batoning, a curved belly for clean skinning and slicing, and a saw-back spine for notching and rough work. It's a true multi-purpose survival blade ground for real performance. Handle The handle is crafted from solid wood, shaped for a comfortable, secure grip during demanding outdoor tasks. Its full-tang construction runs the blade steel through the entire handle, giving the knife the strength and balance to take hard chopping and prying without flexing. Fitted by hand and secured with sturdy pins, the wooden handle delivers warmth, reliable control, and rugged durability season after season. Leather Sheath This tracker knife ships with a hand-stitched genuine leather sheath, fitted to its wide multi-section blade for secure, protected carry. The leather shields the carbon steel edge from moisture and knocks while keeping the knife ready at your belt or in your pack. Built to last as long as the blade, it makes transporting this rugged survival tool safe and convenient on every trip. Uses This tracker is a true one-knife field kit: chopping kindling and small branches, batoning, skinning and processing game, carving camp tools, notching for traps and shelters, and general bushcraft and survival work. Its multi-section blade handles tasks that usually need a hatchet, skinner, and carving knife combined. For another wood-handle option, the Damascus Tracker Knife offers a patterned-steel alternative. Care Instructions Carbon steel rewards simple, consistent care. Hand-wash and dry the blade immediately after every use never leave it wet or run it through a dishwasher. Apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or blade oil after cleaning to guard against rust and patina. Store the knife in its leather sheath away from humidity, and sharpen each blade section to its own purpose using a stone, file, or ceramic rod as needed. This tracker knife measures 9 inches overall and features the classic tracker layout: a forward chopping edge, a curved skinning belly, and a saw-back spine for notching. The full-tang carbon steel blade and wooden handle make it a balanced, do-it-all survival tool for the field. Why does a tracker knife have a saw-back spine and a curved skinning belly? Each section is purpose-built. The saw-back spine handles notching, scoring, and rough cuts for trap and shelter work, while the curved belly delivers clean strokes for skinning and slicing. Together they let one blade do the work of several tools, which is what makes the tracker design so versatile. Is the full tang wooden handle strong enough for heavy outdoor chopping? Yes. The full-tang construction runs the blade steel through the entire handle, giving the knife the strength to absorb hard chopping and batoning without flexing. The solid wood handle is fitted and pinned by hand for a secure, comfortable grip that holds up to demanding field use. Does this handmade full tang tracker knife include a fitted leather sheath? Yes. The knife ships with a hand-stitched genuine leather sheath fitted to its wide multi-section blade. It protects the carbon steel edge from moisture and impact while keeping the tracker secure and ready to carry on your belt or in your pack during any outdoor trip. How do I sharpen and care for the different sections of a tracker blade? Sharpen each section to its own job: a coarser stone for the robust chopping edge, a finer edge for the skinning belly, and a round file or ceramic rod for the saw-back spine. After use, clean, dry, and oil the carbon steel blade, then store it in its sheath to prevent rust.
