Dalmore 12 Sherry Cask Select

Dalmore 12 Sherry Cask Select is a masterclass in whisky craftsmanship, offering a rich and layered tasting experience that appeals to both seasoned whisky connoisseurs and those new to the world of fine spirits. The initial maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels lends the whisky a robust foundation, imparting smooth vanilla, chocolate, and citrus notes that resonate deeply with The Dalmore's signature flavor profile. These flavors serve as the backbone of the whisky, providing warmth and complexity right from the first sip. What sets this expression apart, however, is the exquisite sherry cask finishing. Dalmore’s expert whisky makers have sourced casks seasoned with a unique blend of aged Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry, crafted specifically to enhance the whisky’s inherent character. The Oloroso casks contribute nutty, savory tones, while the Pedro Ximénez adds layers of rich sweetness, including dried fruits like figs, raisins, and dates. Together, they transform the whisky into a luxurious and decadent treat, with each sip offering a burst of fruit, honeyed sweetness, and a touch of spice, all beautifully balanced. The 43% ABV provides just the right level of intensity, allowing the flavors to unfold gracefully on the palate without overwhelming the senses. Its smooth, long finish leaves lingering notes of dark chocolate, spiced orange, and subtle oak, inviting you back for another sip. Perfect for savoring neat, Dalmore 12 Sherry Cask Select is also a delightful choice for whisky lovers who enjoy pairing their dram with fine desserts or a cigar, making it an excellent addition to any collection or special occasion.
