What we love about this product:  These barrettes are handmade locally by The Golden Feather  2" length  Metal closure  Jennifer's story:  Hi there, friends! I’m Jennifer Bowman Gray and I have been creating jewelry and accessories since I was a kid. I am Native American of the Cherokee and Choctaw Tribes of Oklahoma. My mother taught me how to bead at an early age. Honestly, it was my first job at age 9. I would use my mother’s patterns, given to her by my grandmother, to make barrettes, necklaces and bracelets. As you can imagine, the technique of a child was a little rough in the beginning, but my mother taught me that every piece must have the care and attention as if it were the only piece that anyone would see. As I grew older, I started experimenting with different designs and began to combine traditional patterns with pops of color. I wanted my work to be appealing to a broad spectrum of people, those who craved tradition and those that loved something a little different. For over two decades I have brought my work to gift shops and craft shows across the country. It wasn’t until a change in my career that I decided to take the plunge and dive deep into my “side hustle.” I truly love creating fun and unique pieces for the everyday gal.  https://goldenfeatherok.com Other things to consider:  These barrettes are hand-beaded.  Tips and tricks to keep those jewels sparkling: >Put your jewelry on AFTER you spray any perfumes or hairsprays, both can cause oxidation. Also, if you can keep from applying perfumes or oils directly to the skin where jewelry will be worn your jewels will stay in much better shape. >After wearing jewelry, do a quick wipe down to remove any sweat, perfumes, or oils from the day before storing them away. An eyeglasses cloth or any other soft cloth works great! >Store pieces inside of a jewelry box. Keeping jewelry out of direct sunlight and air as much as possible will help keep your favorite pieces from looking tarnished and old. >Be sure to not place jewelry on wet countertops.
