You'll learn how to create super-saturated colors and vivid whites that come to life with an inexpensive heating pad available at most pet stores. But that's only part of what makes this tutorial special! You'll also learn to blend colors with solvent, tools you can use to help lighten and remove color to create depth, and importantly: when not to use heat. You'll discover the magic of creating hard and soft transitions, and see how fragile petals can show off their delicate colors when they are framed by exaggerated dark colors. Instructor Anda Chance is with you every step of the way with clear instruction, beautiful large images, downloadable line drawing and reference photo and, of course, her many years of award-winning colored pencil experience. When you finish, you will have a beautiful, frameable, giftable colored pencil creation by you, plus a new set of skills to bring to your next project! About The Author: Anda Chance’s colored pencil art ranges from botanical to industrial. She is interested in found patterns and colors and prefers working in realism created into a whole image from several references. About In-Depth Tutorials: Created by master colored pencil artists, each In-Depth tutorial features detailed steps and focuses on teaching you why and not just how the artist applies their technique. No book comes close to the amount of instruction in an In-Depth tutorial. Art instruction books typically contain 4-6 steps per demo. That just scratches the surface! With large images and 28 or more steps, In-Depth tutorials truly show you exactly how the artist works, making it easy and stress-free to learn new colored pencil techniques and achieve success.
