Daily Bread (boutique cut)

📖 Matthew 6:11 (NASB 1995): "Give us this day our daily bread." 🔍 Context – The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9–13): This verse is part of the Lord’s Prayer, where Jesus is teaching His disciples how to pray. The full prayer is a model, not necessarily a script to repeat word-for-word (though many do), but a framework showing what kind of heart and priorities we should have in prayer. Here’s the flow of the prayer: Worship – “Our Father… hallowed be Your name.” Surrender – “Your kingdom come, Your will be done…” Dependence – “Give us this day our daily bread…” Forgiveness – “Forgive us our debts…” Guidance & protection – “Lead us not into temptation…” 🍞 Meaning of Matthew 6:11 – "Daily Bread" 1. Physical Needs “Bread” refers to basic sustenance—food, water, shelter, the essentials of life. Jesus is teaching us to trust God each day for our daily provision, just as the Israelites relied on manna in the wilderness, given one day at a time (Exodus 16). This reflects a life of faith, not worry (see Matthew 6:25–34, same chapter). 2. Spiritual Sustenance Many also interpret “daily bread” as symbolic of spiritual nourishment—just as Jesus said: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4) And Jesus Himself is the Bread of Life (John 6:35). So, we're also asking: ➡️ “Lord, feed my soul. Teach me. Satisfy me spiritually.” 💡 Key Takeaways: This verse is a prayer of trust and humility. We are dependent on God, not just for eternal things, but for today—for what we need, when we need it. It invites us to live in the present, not overwhelmed by tomorrow (see Matthew 6:34). It also reminds us to pray not just for ourselves, but for “us”—our community, our families, our neighbors. • 100% combed and ring-spun cotton (Heather colors contain polyester) • Fabric weight: 4.2 oz./yd.² (142 g/m²) • Pre-shrunk fabric • Side-seamed construction • Shoulder-to-shoulder taping • Blank product sourced from Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras, or the US This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you.
