Airzone AZAI6WSPDKC DKN Plus Thermostat Interface Module for Daikin

Daikin AZAI6WSPDKC – DKN Plus Interface Enhance your comfort system’s intelligence with the Daikin AZAI6WSPDKC DKN Plus Interface, an advanced integration module that bridges Daikin indoor units with third-party thermostats, smart home platforms, and building management systems. Compact, connected, and customizable, the DKN Plus Interface delivers flexible control options and seamless automation for both residential and commercial Daikin systems. Versatile System Compatibility The DKN Plus Interface is compatible with a wide range of Daikin VRV, SkyAir, single-zone, and multi-zone systems, supporting both R410A and R32 indoor units. It integrates with models across the FX, FT, and FV series—such as FXAQ, FXFQ, FTXM, FTXS, and FVXS—using either P1P2 or S21 communication protocols. Optional adaptors are available for select indoor units, ensuring simple connectivity across diverse Daikin product lines. Smart Integration and Connectivity Designed for today’s connected environments, the DKN Plus Interface allows direct integration with smart thermostats and automation platforms through multiple communication options. Supported systems include Honeywell Home, Ecobee, Nest, and Pelican thermostats via cloud API connections, as well as Lutron Palladium through Modbus RTU and Daikin Color Touch through local API for P1P2 units. In addition, it’s compatible with major home automation and control platforms such as Crestron, Control4, RTI Control, and Fibaro, providing full flexibility in both home and business applications. Comprehensive Control Features Through the DKN Cloud NA App, users can commission, monitor, and control system operations via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Key functions include On/Off control, temperature setpoint adjustment, fan speed, louver position, operating mode (Auto, Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan), and error monitoring. The intuitive app interface provides real-time feedback, energy monitoring, and full control access from any smartphone or tablet. For advanced installations, the DKN Plus Interface supports BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU integration, allowing precise management of setpoints, fan speeds, error codes, and auxiliary heat output for building management or automation systems. Auxiliary Heat and Emergency Control The DKN Plus Interface offers integrated auxiliary heat control via a dry contact relay output, configurable for primary or secondary operation. It can activate the heater based on temperature differentials or outdoor conditions and allows emergency heat mode activation through the DKN Cloud app—ensuring continued comfort even if the indoor unit experiences a fault. Secure and Reliable Operation For enhanced security, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions can be disabled in sensitive applications. The unit supports firmware version v4.06 and above, providing secure building integration and the latest feature support via over-the-air (OTA) updates. Its robust design ensures dependable operation between 32°F and 113°F, with full compliance to FCC Part 15B and ICES-003 standards for electromagnetic compatibility in both the U.S. and Canada. Flexible Installation and Configuration Measuring a compact 3.6" × 3.15" × 1.14", the DKN Plus Interface installs neatly alongside Daikin indoor units. It connects via included 8.2 ft P1P2 or S21 communication wires and supports external 24VAC power for third-party thermostats. The integrated digital input allows for forced system shutdowns, while relay outputs enable easy connection to heating and cooling stages or fan circuits. The system diagram on page 4 of the submittal sheet illustrates how the DKN Plus Interface enables direct connection between Daikin systems, cloud services, and third-party thermostats through both wired and wireless protocols. Seamless Integration with BMS and HAS The DKN Plus Interface bridges the gap between Daikin systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) or Home Automation Systems (HAS) through Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP protocols. It can also operate through cloud API integration, allowing full-scale smart home and facility management from a unified platform. The BMS diagram on page 5 showcases its ability to link multiple devices into a single control ecosystem for commercial environments. Documentation and Support Comprehensive documentation is available, including product, installation, integration, and application manuals for systems such as Modbus, BACnet, Lutron, and Pelican thermostats. These resources simplify setup and ensure maximum compatibility for any installation. Trusted Daikin Quality Built to the highest performance and reliability standards, the Daikin AZAI6WSPDKC DKN Plus Interface is the perfect solution for smart comfort integration. Whether connecting to a cloud-based thermostat, a BMS, or a home automation network, it delivers flexible, efficient, and intelligent control that complements Daikin’s advanced HVAC systems.
