Shadow Plate

In celebration of the documentary “The Past is Always New, The Future is Always Nostalgic”, this exclusive ceramic plate immortalizes one of Daido Moriyama’s most quietly powerful images—a solitary shadow stretching across an endless road, captured in stark monochrome. At once deeply personal and universally evocative, the image reflects the essence of Moriyama’s vision: raw, transient, and unflinchingly real. Produced in collaboration with TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS and officially authorized by the Daido Moriyama Photo Foundation, each piece is meticulously crafted in Japan and bears Moriyama’s signature on the reverse, underscoring its authenticity and collectible value. This limited edition plate serves as both functional art and a striking visual statement—equally suited for display or refined use.
