Sitting high on long, strong stems above lush green foliage, this high-contrast beauty brings unstoppable energy, symmetry, and eye-popping personality to garden borders and fresh-cut bouquets! LIGHT: Full sun; partial sun WATER: Water deeply and thoroughly when soil begins to dry ZONE: Zones 8–11 (In Zones 3–7, dig tubers up after the first light frost and store indoors over winter) SIZE: 3.5 to 4 feet tall GROOVY TIP: Gold-edged red blooms like 'Dutch Carnival' love to play off dark foliage! To make those golden yellow petal outlines look like they are literally glowing with electricity, plant 'Dutch Carnival' in front of dark bronze-leafed companions like 'Black Magic' Elephant Ears, dark Heuchera, or deep plum dahlias. The dark background absorbs ambient light, forcing your eyes right onto those bright golden frame lines on every single petal! Notes: Images are a representation of the flower produced by the tuber you will receive. Each plant is unique, and small variations in leaf and plant size, color, etc. is to be expected.
