D12-3 Engines

The Estes D12-3 engine delivers high-thrust power for heavier model rockets that require a shorter delay before deployment. Ideal for larger, draggy airframes or rockets with broad fins, this engine provides the force needed to achieve stable, safe flights from liftoff to recovery. With its balanced 3-second delay, the D12-3 is engineered for rockets that need their recovery systems to activate shortly after peak altitude, helping prevent tumble or drift. As part of the D engine family, the D12-3 is known for its punchy boost and reliability, making it a solid choice for rockets designed with extra weight or staging complexity. Whether you're flying a single-stage rocket that needs a quick deployment or experimenting with payloads, this engine offers a dependable performance profile that hobbyists trust. Each pack includes two D12-3 engines, along with two starters and four starter plugs, giving you what you need for multiple launch attempts or quick back-to-back flights. Estes engines are precision-manufactured and quality-tested to meet rigorous standards, ensuring consistent and safe ignition every time. Trusted by generations of rocketeers, the D12-3 bridges the gap between performance and control. It's a go-to choice for those looking to expand their skills with more demanding models while maintaining Estes’ signature dependability and ease of use.
