Cutting Mat Duo: Tri-Fold plus Rotating Mat

A big cutting surface for the long cuts, and a small spinning one for the fiddly ones. This set pairs the Tri-Fold Self-Healing Cutting Mat with the Rotating Cutting Mat, so you have the right surface for whatever you are doing. The Tri-Fold mat opens to 23.6 by 35.4 inches, close to twice the size of the common 18 by 24 mat most people cut on. That means a long strip is one cut instead of three, with the ruler down once and the fabric never moving. When you are done, it folds into three panels and stands on a shelf. The Rotating Cutting Mat is a 12 inch square that spins a full turn, so you can trim and square up a block by turning the mat instead of walking around the table or lifting the fabric. One mat for the big cuts. One that spins for the small work. Between them, every cutting job is covered. Why You'll Love It A Real 23.6 by 35.4 Inch Surface: The Tri-Fold mat is close to twice the size of the common 18 by 24 mat, so you can cut the width of quilting cotton in one pass instead of sliding the fabric along and lining it up again. Look at the Fold: Each fold line is cut as a wave, so the panels lock together and sit flat, with no straight groove for the blade to drop into. When you are done, the mat folds into three and stands on a shelf. Turn the Mat, Not the Fabric: The Rotating Cutting Mat spins a full turn on a base that locks when you want it still, so you can trim and square up a block from one comfortable spot. The Two Do Different Jobs: The big mat is for laying out and long cuts. The spinning mat sits on top of it for detail work, squaring up, and cutting around templates. They work together. Both Self-Healing and Both Made to Last: Both surfaces close back up after each cut, so they stay smooth through years of rotary cutting and help protect your blade. Specifications 1. Tri-Fold Self-Healing Cutting Mat  Open size: 23.6 by 35.4 inches (60 by 90 cm), close to twice the cutting area of the common 18 by 24 mat Folded size: 23.6 by 11.8 inches (60 by 30 cm), in three panels. It stands up on its end by itself The fold: Two fold lines, each cut as a wave so the panels lock together and sit flush, with no straight groove for a blade to drop into Surface: Self-healing, with a printed grid and 30, 45, and 60 degree angle lines Backing: Non-slip, so it stays put on the table Good to know: Open it fully and let it settle flat before you cut. Wipe clean with a damp cloth 2. Rotating Cutting Mat, 12 by 12 inches  Material: PVC, synthetic rubber, and thermoplastic. Weighs about 26 oz Spins: Turns a full 360 degrees on a smooth base that locks when you want it still Markings: Grid lines at one-eighth, one-quarter, one-half, and 1 inch, plus 30, 45, and 60 degree lines What it is for: Trimming and squaring up blocks by turning the mat instead of the fabric. Lock it and use it as a normal mat How to Use This Bundle Open the Tri-Fold mat fully and let it settle flat on the table before you cut. Use it for laying out fabric and making long, straight cuts. Line the ruler up once and cut the whole length in one pass. For squaring up a block or cutting around a template, set the Rotating Cutting Mat on top and turn it to bring each edge to you. Lock the rotating mat's base when you want it to stay still, and use it like a normal small mat. When you are finished, fold the big mat into three panels and stand it on a shelf. Wipe both mats clean with a damp cloth. A pencil eraser lifts any lint that builds up over time.
