Details These cut steel earrings are hand-made out of repurposed antique Victorian components from the 1860s with 14k gold ear wires. Cut steel is made of individually faceted and polished steel "stones" that are set on a brass or steel backing to create a glittering, pavé effect that mimick diamonds in candle light. Like paste stones or pinchbeck, cut steel jewelry is highly regarded for the skill and labor taken to create these pieces. They were highly popular in their day and remain very collectible. Our Antique and Vintage items are sold ‘as is’. These items are at least 20 years old (Vintage) or at least 100 years old (Antique) and will show some wear in accordance with age and use. Please read descriptions and review photos to best understand the condition.
