On opening night of a brand-new musical, the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage. Suddenly, the entire cast and crew become suspects in a hilarious backstage murder mystery. Enter Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, a detective who just happens to be a devoted musical theatre fan. As he investigates the crime, rehearsals continue, romances develop, and chaos unfolds both onstage and off.
