Currents- Red Reef (5 Pieces)

A deep coral-red that reminds us of an ocean reef…for hundreds of years, recycled glass beads have been made by the Krobo People of Ghana. Using a method of first grinding the glass to powder, the glass is then heated and poured into clay molds. A leaf from the Cassava tree is placed in the center to form the hole. When the glass is baking, the leaf disappears and you have a bead! Project Ideas: We love Currents in the Storm Series necklaces, The Zen of Stringing, and Born Yesterday.   Imported from Africa. Please remember that these beads are handmade in small batches, and sizing and color can vary from one batch to another! Sold in package of 5 beads.
