It's a dense, closed-grain hardwood, meaning the pores are exceptionally small, keeping bacteria out and making it one of the most hygienic woods you can use in the kitchen. Every board is handcrafted in our small Florida workshop, sanded smooth, and finished with a food-grade blend of mineral oil, carnauba wax, and beeswax.
