Imagination inspires the journey, propels the search to conceive the inconceivable. Imagine the possibilities: Each year, the Mensa Foundation Scholarship Program awards more than $175,000 in assistance to college-bound students around the globe. Which longtime Mensa member and Foundation Trustee proposed the idea of the program? We introduce you to Imagination. Hailing from the cool and foggy climate for the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, this beautiful medium-bodied wine was grown slowly to build intense flavors over time. This wine was aged in French oak and displays a beautiful balance of fruit, oak and liveliness on the palate and exhibits lush mango and toasted almond. Balanced fruit with tarte acidity makes this wine a classic example of Premium Russian River Chardonnay. Curiosity: Curiosity, the noblest of traits, for it makes Great Minds voyagers to new worlds yet humbles us with the all-too-human admission that there’s more to know. A curious meeting: In 1946, two high-minded British aristocrats, Roland Berrill and Lancelot Lionel Ware established Mensa after a chance meeting. Where did the two Mensa founders meet one year prior? We introduce you to Curiosity. This proprietary red blend – from our award-winning winemaker Todd Heth – exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry, and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long-lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.
