Cupcake Nibbles

By: Michal Moses & Ivana Nitzan Tantalizingly delicious treats! This collection of mini cupcakes offers inspiration, good ideas, and tips and tricks any home baker needs. Created by two expert bakers and caterers, they feature amazing irresistible flavor combinations, from rich, melt-in-your-mouth custard varieties to tiny tiramisu. But whether sophisticatedly sweet, decadently daring, or sharp and spicy, they're great to make, attractive to display, and endless fun to eat. Begin with some basics, like Yellow Cake, Very Vanilla, and Cocoa Chocolate cupcakes, frosted with various types of buttercream, cream cheese, salted caramel, meringue, ganache, and royal icings-plus fillings, like Chantilly Cream. Start heating up the oven for everyday treats like Minty Minis, Chocolate Banana cupcakes, and Lemon Angel Food with Coconut and Blueberries. Or go for a gourmet goodie: like Petite Pecan Pie, Pineapple and Green Tea, or Cherry Marzipan. Some recipes are made just for a special occasion, like birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, and many other holidays. Try "Capture My Heart," for Valentine's Day; Halloween bites with marshmallow "ghosts"; and a bouquet of pink roses for Mother's Day. For something more savory, indulge in Cornmeal & Avocado; Sweet Potato, Pea & Curry; or Blue Cheese & Spinach Nibbles; they'd make wonderful hors d'oeuvres! Most likely, you have already guessed that based the name of my blog. But it is really true, I love cupcakes. I used to bake a lot of cupcakes for my friends and family. If there was playdate or a potluck, I would make cupcakes for everyone. However, since I started working out regularly and watching what I eat, I pretty much stopped baking cupcakes. I love the idea of Cupcake Nibbles because I still get to enjoy everything that's wonderful about cupcakes, but I don't need to feel obligated to eat an entire cupcake on my plate. Mini cupcakes are easier to handle, less of a mess with my kids and the bite size is perfect for someone like me who is on a restricted diet. The thing I especially love about this book is the unique recipes it offers. With interesting favors such as coconut lychee, cookies 'n' cheesecake, caramel coffee, and chai masala, I want to try them all. I have made Little Lemoncello Mini Cupcakes and Blueberry Cheesecake Mini Cupcakes for my family, and they both turned out amazing. If everything else is as good as what I have made so far, I would call this book a winner for sure.
