Height: 4 Width : 5 Brand : Mopar FAQ : The Cummins 5698456 Manifold Absolute Pressure or MAP Sensor can fail due to various reasons. These can include contamination by soot and other substances, which can affect the sensor's accuracy and engine performance. Additionally, corrosion of the sensor's electrical contacts and damaged or loose wiring can disrupt the communication between the sensor and the engine's ECU. Exposure to high exhaust temperatures and physical damage from road debris or maintenance procedures can also contribute to sensor failure. It is important to regularly maintain and inspect the sensor to prevent these issues from leading to failures. Part Number : 5698456 Manufacturer: Cummins Product Note: This OEM Cummins 5698456 is also known as the Mopar 68447683AA Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins Intake Air Temp Sensor. The IAT sensor measures the temperature of the air charge in the intake manifold. The Engine Control Module uses the data taken by the IAT sensor to set fuel injection timing and adjust the air-fuel ratio. Diesel engine performance can be greatly diminished if this sensor is malfunctioning.
