Thin LED Exit & Emergency Light Combo

Compact High‑Lumen LED Exit & Emergency Combo — Field‑Selectable Red/Green Legend, Dual 1.1 W Heads (HL 2.0 W Opt.), 2.0 W Remote (Opt.), 120/277 V — Features & Specs The CTXTEU LED exit & emergency combo brings together a high‑visibility EXIT legend and dual LED lamp heads in a slim, installer‑friendly package for modern commercial interiors. A universal‑voltage driver, 3.6 V Ni‑Cd pack with 90‑minute emergency operation, and smart charging electronics make it a reliable choice for both new work and retrofit projects. Choose the standard 1.1 W head package for corridor coverage, step up to the HL 2.0 W option where longer spacing is required, or specify the RC 2.0 W remote‑capacity version to power an external remote head (HL and RC are mutually exclusive). UL 924 Red / Green Legend Dual 1.1 W Heads 120/277 V Ni‑Cd / 90 min RC 2.0 W (opt.) 0–50 °C Damp Location UL 94 5VA Key Features UL 924 listed; damp‑location rated (0–50 °C / 32–122 °F) for interior egress paths. Slim, low‑profile enclosure molded from UL 94 5VA flame‑retardant thermoplastic (white or black). Dual adjustable LED heads, 1.1 W each; HL option ups each head to 2.0 W for longer spacing. Field‑selectable legend color: red or green; single or double face. Universal 120/277 VAC input with bi‑color status LED and push‑to‑test for quick checks. 3.6 V Ni‑Cd battery delivers the code‑required 90‑minute emergency runtime. Solid‑state transfer and two‑rate charger (~24 h full recharge) for dependable cycling. EZ‑snap canopy for top/end mount and a universal knockout backplate for wall mount. RC option: 2.0 W remote‑head output (not compatible with HL). 1‑year electronics/housing warranty; battery prorated 1 year; CEC Title 20 compliant. Applications & Design Notes CTXTEU is purpose‑built for facilities that need a thin profile and straightforward installation: offices, small format retail, schools, and tenant improvements where fast J‑box alignment and clean lines matter. The 1.1 W heads are a great fit for 8–10 ft mounting heights and typical 3–6 ft egress paths; select the HL 2.0 W package when ceiling heights increase, corridors open into wider lobbies, or spacing needs to stretch between doors. If the plan calls for a small patch of light around a corner—say a short vestibule or an offset corridor—use the RC 2.0 W version and power an external remote head rather than adding another full combo housing (remember: HL and RC cannot be combined). For consistency in wayfinding, keep the legend color uniform (red or green) on a per‑floor basis. During aiming, tilt heads slightly down‑corridor and overlap the beams at the door leaf to improve vertical illuminance on hardware and signage. Document chevron arrowing on submittals, and coordinate canopy orientation with ceiling lines so the fixture reads cleanly from the approach side. Selection & Layout Tips HL vs. RC: Choose HL 2.0 W when you need longer spacing from the combo itself; choose RC 2.0 W when you need to feed a separate remote head. They’re mutually exclusive. Legend color: Keep red/green consistent by floor; confirm local AHJ preferences before ordering. Beam aiming: Start with both heads slightly down‑corridor; overlap beams at doors and landings to minimize scallops and improve verticals on hardware. Voltage drop: For RC models, use short runs and appropriate gauge; verify voltage at the last remote head under load. Testing cadence: Allow a full charge before the first 90‑minute test; log monthly functional and annual duration tests per UL 924/NFPA 101. HL raises each on‑board head to 2.0 W for longer spacing from the combo itself. RC allocates 2.0 W total to power a remote head elsewhere. They cannot be combined. Is the legend color fixed at order time? No. The CTXTEU ships field‑selectable for red or green legends so you can match local preferences or existing signage during install. How do I mount the unit? Use the EZ‑snap canopy for top or end mounting to a standard J‑box, or the universal backplate for surface wall installation. Verify knockout alignment before finishing. Can I use remote heads with the HL option? No. HL and RC are mutually exclusive to keep the power budget code‑compliant and predictable. What testing is required for code compliance? Perform a monthly functional test and an annual 90‑minute duration test, logging both for inspection per UL 924/NFPA 101. thin‑profile exit & emergency combo dual 1.1 W LED heads high‑lumen 2.0 W emergency heads remote‑capable exit combo 2.0 W Ni‑Cd 90‑minute UL 924 combo snap‑fit canopy J‑box backplate
