CTDK

Elevate Your Media Connectivity with the CTDK ASI to IP and IP to ASI Converter The CTDK is your ultimate solution for seamlessly converting between ASI and IP technologies. As ASI gradually gives way to IP, the CTDK stands as an indispensable device for connecting legacy IRDs and transport streams over modern IP networks. With its compact size and robust functionality, the CTDK ensures efficient and reliable media conversion across LANs and WANs, supporting multicast networks with IGMP and managing packet loss with Pro-MPEG FEC. Key Features: Versatile Conversion: Bidirectional ASI to IP and IP to ASI conversion for seamless integration between older and newer technologies. Real-Time Performance: Low latency conversion with only 1 millisecond for ASI to IP and 10 milliseconds for IP to ASI. Robust Compatibility: Supports HD and SD MPEG-2 or H.264/MPEG-4 AVC transport streams. Network Integration: Compatible with multicast networks via IGMPv2 and IGMPv3. Error Correction: Pro-MPEG FEC SMPTE 2022-1/2 technology for correcting 2-3% packet loss, ensuring reliable stream delivery. Flexible Inputs and Outputs: Inputs: One DVB-ASI input, one GigE IP input. Outputs: One DVB-ASI output, one GigE IP output port supporting seven IP outputs from one transport stream. IP Protocols: Supports both UDP and RTP for versatile network compatibility. Easy Setup: IP address assignment via DHCP server or static IP address. Global Usability: Interchangeable power plugs for US, EU, UK, and AUS. Standalone Media Converter: Operates independently as a media converter without requiring additional infrastructure. Applications: Studio to Transmitter Links: Efficiently transmit broadcast signals from studios to transmitters. Electronic News Gathering (ENG): Stream content to and from remote locations with ease. Cable Systems Integration: Convert ASI inputs to IP for integration into cable systems. Distance Education/Corporate Training: Facilitate live streaming for educational and corporate training purposes. Media Conversion: Convert ASI outputs from encoders to IP or vice versa for flexible media handling. Satellite Link Alternative: Use as a cost-effective alternative to dedicated satellite links for digital video transmission. Overview: The CTDK is a compact (under 7 inches), cost-effective, and low-latency bidirectional ASI to IP and IP to ASI converter. Designed for forwarding bidirectional SPTS or MPTS transport streams over high-speed IP backbones, it converts MPTS ASI transport streams to 1 to 7 IP transport stream outputs with only 1 millisecond latency. The IP to ASI latency is just 10 milliseconds, making it ideal for real-time applications. It supports Pro-MPEG FEC SMPTE 2022-1/2, IP de-encapsulation, and unicast and multicast networking. Standard Features: ASI to IP and IP to ASI Converter: Real-time conversion for HD and SD MPEG-2 or H.264/MPEG-4 AVC transport streams. Low Latency: ASI to IP latency of 1 millisecond and IP to ASI latency of 10 milliseconds. Network Protocols: Supports UDP and RTP with jitter tolerance of 1~120 milliseconds. Pro-MPEG FEC: Ensures reliable packet delivery with SMPTE 2022-1/2 error correction. Multicast Support: IGMPv2 and IGMPv3 for efficient multicast network integration. Flexible Power Options: Interchangeable plugs for different regions, including US, EU, UK, and AUS. Alternative to Satellite Links: Connects digital video equipment to computer networks as a cost-effective alternative.
