Cryme Tyme Shoot Interview

Brooklyn represent! One of wrestling’s most controversial acts of the last few years stepped into the RF VIDEO studios to record an exclusive new shoot interview that will be answering the questions many fans have had concerning their infamous time in the WWE spotlight. Shad Gaspard and JTG came into the WWE as the tag team Cryme Tyme and were introduced through a series of notorious skits that were the talk of the wrestling world. Both Shad and JTG were completely open on what they thought about their characters, their skits, and their tumultuous time in New York that ended after a bizarre in-ring incident with Cade and Murdoch. This is the one interview where you will get the whole truth, and nothing but, straight from the source! Starting their career in Ohio Valley Wrestling under the watchful eye of ECW’s mad scientist Paul Heyman, Shad and JTG (then known as the Neighborhoodie) worked together as The Gang Stars. Both men shared their memories of that time in OVW and described all the things that young WWE talent must go through on their way to the big show. How hard was their training? Were they able to make a living? Who did they ride with and what were they shows like? This shoot interview is invaluable for anyone who is interesting in learning more about how the WWE developmental works and what it is like for an indy wrestler to be in the wrestling machine. Johnny Jeter, Ken Kennedy, Danny Davis and many other notable OVW names are covered in-depth. It didn’t take long before the two men were called up to the main stage and they explained who came up with the controversial gimmick Cryme Tyme along with a ton of backstage stories. The boys talked about their favorite skit and if they felt they were really parodying racial stereotypes as the WWE claimed they were. Shad and JTG also gave us their thoughts on all the big names in WWE including John Cena, Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista, and even the Spirit Squad. What did the wrestlers backstage think of their gimmick? How approachable was Vince McMahon? What really went down in the match between them, Murdoch, and Cade, and what was the reaction in the back? We’ve got the answers to all the burning questions! You’ll hear what Cryme Tyme thought of John Laurenitis, drugs in wrestling, going back to the indys, the biggest misconception about wrestling in the WWE, dirtsheets and the internet and much more along with them giving their best road stories.
