Herbal Delights™ | Crushed Rose Hips

CERTIFIED USDA ORGANIC Scientific Name: Rosa canina Net Wt: 75g Crushed rose hips are known for their rich content of vitamin C, antioxidants, and beneficial compounds that support the health of small pets such as chinchillas, guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds. Key Benefits: Rich in Vitamin C: Rose hips are a natural and potent source of vitamin C, which is essential for the immune system and overall health of small pets. Vitamin C is particularly crucial for guinea pigs, as they cannot synthesize it on their own. Antioxidant Properties: The high antioxidant content helps to neutralize free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and promoting overall health. Immune Support: By providing a significant boost of vitamin C and antioxidants, rose hips help strengthen the immune system, making pets more resilient to illnesses and infections. Anti-Inflammatory: Rose hips possess anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body, which is beneficial for pets with conditions like arthritis or other inflammatory issues. Digestive Health: The fiber content in rose hips can support a healthy digestive system, promoting regular bowel movements and overall gut health. Skin and Coat Health: The vitamins and antioxidants in rose hips contribute to healthy skin and a shiny coat, helping to alleviate minor skin irritations and improving the overall appearance of pets.  Recommended Usage: Feed up to 1/2 teaspoon per day for chinchillas, guinea pigs and rabbits, and up to a small pinch (1/8 teaspoon) per day for birds. Do not exceed these amounts. This treat should be provided in conjunction with primary foraging diet and balanced feed, and should never be a regular diet staple.
