Subtle hints of dried fruit, particularly fig and apricot, intermingle with a delicate floral perfume and a touch of light oak spice. A faint whisper of maple syrup and candied nuts emerges with further nosing. Palate: The palate is remarkably smooth and approachable, showcasing a medium body. Sweetness leads with creamy vanilla and butterscotch, quickly followed by a gentle rye spice that offers a pleasant counterpoint. Notes of baked apple, toasted grain, and a hint of dark chocolate provide complexity. Despite the lower proof, there's a satisfying velvety texture. Finish: The finish is medium in length, clean, and remarkably soft. Sweet caramel and vanilla persist, gradually fading to a warm, lingering oak spice and a touch of white pepper. There's a subtle nuttiness that emerges at the very end, leaving a pleasant, understated warmth. About the Distillery Joseph E.
