Cross Stitch Self-portrait w/ Mallory

Create your own cross stitch self-portrait!  Come and learn the basics of cross stitch while designing your own self-portrait! We will cover the basics of cross stitch and how to design your own pattern for a self-portrait. Everyone will finish their pattern and start stitching their portrait, you will have the opportunity to finish the piece at home if not finished during class.  Ages 16+ Materials details: Students need to purchase: (students will receive a 15% discount on supplies purchased at Sew to Speak) -Embroidery floss – DMC 6 strand cotton Embroidery Floss is recommended      -One skein of 6 strand embroidery floss for each item/color you would like to stitch –  Hair, skin, eyes, clothes, etc. I would recommend having a few colors to choose from.      -1 Skein of Black 6 strand embroidery floss is suggested – this can be useful for details like glasses, outlines, words, and extra details.      -These can be purchased before class or during class if you aren’t sure yet which colors you will want.
