Cross Foundry Ballpoint Pen - Blue

The Cross Foundry Ballpoint Pen in Glossy Translucent Blue Lacquer with Polished Chrome Appointments is the Foundry collection's most characterful finish in its most reliable writing format — a pen that turns the everyday act of writing into something worth looking forward to, through a barrel that shifts in depth and tone with the light while maintaining the composed, professional character the Cross name has stood for over 175 years. The translucent blue lacquer achieves a genuinely distinctive look — neither a flat color nor a simple gloss, but a jewel-like luminosity that makes this pen immediately recognizable on any desk or in any bag. Polished chrome appointments keep the palette sharp and contemporary, providing just enough contrast to let the blue barrel read as the centerpiece it was designed to be. Cross's swivel-action propel/repel mechanism deploys the medium ballpoint tip with smooth, controlled precision, and specially formulated Cross ink flows without hesitation across every paper type — consistent, skip-free lines that hold up through the most demanding day of signatures, notes, and correspondence. Pre-loaded with a black medium ballpoint refill (#8513) and packaged in a standard Cross gift box, this pen is ready to perform and ready to impress from the moment the box opens. Protected by Cross's lifetime mechanical warranty, it is the ideal first Cross pen for someone who refuses to choose between personality and performance. Features Glossy Translucent Blue Lacquer Barrel: A light-shifting, jewel-toned blue lacquer finish brings genuine visual depth and personality to the Foundry's clean silhouette — expressive enough to stand apart, composed enough to belong in any professional environment without compromise. Polished Chrome Appointments: A clean polished chrome clip, cap ring, and fittings create crisp, contemporary contrast against the translucent blue body — a finish pairing where each element enhances the other with quiet, deliberate precision. Swivel-Action Propel/Repel Mechanism: Cross's precision twist-action mechanism deploys and retracts the medium ballpoint tip with smooth, reliable control — protecting the nib during daily carry and delivering the tip exactly when and how the writer needs it. Specially Formulated Cross Ballpoint Ink: Cross's proprietary ink formula flows immediately from first contact with paper, producing consistent, skip-free medium-point lines through every writing task — signatures, meeting notes, and extended correspondence — without pooling, feathering, or pressure-dependent starts. Standard Cross Refill Compatibility: Ships pre-loaded with a black medium ballpoint refill (#8513) and accepts all standard Cross ballpoint refills in multiple ink colors and widths, allowing the writer to personalize ink choice while maintaining the pen's long-term utility.
